美国芝加哥近期气候极为寒冷，给当地民众造成严重困扰。大量特斯拉电动车被低温“冻死”，无法充电，导致民众无法使用电动车。

根据《福斯新闻》（Fox News）今（18）日的报导，在奥克布鲁克特斯拉充电站，停车场裡挤满了没电的特斯拉。芝加哥地区其他充电站，也出现了同样的情景。

随著芝加哥温度降到零下两位数，这些充电口都已停止充电。一位特斯拉车主说，不管他把电动车放在充电站多久，电动车就是完全无法充电。

一些无法使用电动车的民众指出，令他们心寒的不仅是电动车无法停电，还有他们打电话给特斯拉寻求帮助时，却得不到任何援助。

一位汽车专家对此表示，所有电动车的车主，在极端寒冷的情况下充电前，都应先按下车上的预热按钮。
